APPLE Pay:


Use Apple Pay™ and your Citywide Banks VISA® debit card to securely pay using your iPhone or iPad. Once your debit card is setup in your device's built-in Wallet app, simply make purchases through your mobile device instead of swiping your card. Apple Pay transactions are authorized with TouchID™ thumbprint security (or your device passcode). Plus, Apple Pay can be used as a payment method for many of your favorite mobile apps. FEATURES of Apple Pay

  • Debit card number is not stored on device or transmitted with payment. Instead, transactions use a unique, encrypted device account number to complete the payment.

How to Setup Apple Pay

  1. Check if your device is compatible. Apple Pay is available for the iPhone 6 (or newer versions), and the iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, or iPad Mini 3 (or newer versions).
  2. Make sure your device's operating system is running iOS 8.1 or later
  3. Make sure you have setup a passcode or Touch ID (e.g. fingerprint access) on your device
  4. Open "Wallet" on your device (this is a built-in app on your iPhone or iPad), and follow instructions to "Add Credit or Debit Card." Both personal and business Citywide Banks debit cards are eligible to be setup in Apple Pay.
  5. Citywide Banks will be automatically notified of your pending request to add your debit card to Apple Pay. During this verification process, you may be asked to contact Citywide Banks and speak to a representative to verify the request during regular banking hours. If this contact is required, you will be notified with an alert via your phone's Wallet app.
  6. Once the card is verified, you can begin using Apple Pay. At the store's checkout, simply open Wallet, tap the Citywide Banks debit card, hold device near payment terminal, and use TouchID or your passcode. Your device will display a confirmation that payment was completed.

ANDROID Pay:


Use Android Pay and your Citywide Banks VISA® debit card to securely pay using your Android mobile device. Once your debit card is setup on your device's Android Pay app, simply make purchases through your mobile device instead of swiping your card. FEATURES of Android Pay

  • Users do not have to open the Android Pay app to make purchases. Instead, users simply need to unlock and "wake-up" phone, hold back of phone against payment terminal, and choose "Credit" regardless of the type of card.
  • Debit card number is not stored on device or transmitted with payment. Instead, transactions use a virtual account number to represent account information. 
  • If a phone is ever lost or stolen, users can use Android Device Manager to instantly lock device from anywhere, secure it with a new password, or even swipe it clean of personal information.

How to Setup Android Pay

  1. Look for preloaded Android Pay app. Android Pay can be installed on any Android device enabled with Near Field Communication (NFC) (KitKat 4.4+). If the app is not preloaded on your device, simply download it at Google Play.
  2. Follow instructions to either scan your Citywide Banks debit card or manually input the card information. Both personal and business Citywide Banks debit cards are eligible to be setup in Android Pay.
  3. Citywide Banks will be automatically notified of your pending request to add your debit card to Android Pay. During this verification process, you may be asked to contact Citywide Banks and speak to a representative to verify the request during regular banking hours. 
  4. Once the card is verified, you can begin using Android Pay. At the store's checkout, simply open Android Pay app, tap the Citywide Banks debit card, hold device near payment terminal to complete purchase. Your device will display a confirmation that payment was completed.

SAMSUNG Pay:


Use Samsung Pay and your Citywide Banks VISA® debit card to securely pay using select Galaxy mobile devices. Utilizing a new proprietary technology called Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) and Near Field Communication (NFC), Samsung Pay enables compatible devices to make secure transactions at virtually any payment terminal in Colorado and across the world.

  • Samsung Pay uses the following security features:
    • Tokenization - method of replacing sensitive payment card information with a device-specific token
    • Secure Environment - physically segregated chip in the device which only allows access to sensitive information/operations such as fingerprint and payment information
    • Samsung KNOX - application that runs scans to confirm that device is secure 
  • Requires either an authorized user's fingerprint or 4-digit PIN is required to authorize in-store purchases
  • Samsung does not store personal/payment information on the device
  • Uses both MST and NFC technology to enable use at virtually every type of payment terminal at retailers.
