Notice of Internet Privacy Policy - Citywide Banks of Colorado, Inc.*

We at the family of banks and companies affiliated with Citywide Banks of Colorado, Inc. (Citywide Banks) are committed to providing superior banking products and services to you.  Protecting your privacy is important to us. We want you to understand what information we collect, how we use it and the safeguards we have in place in order to protect it.

While our privacy policies are the same whether you are online or not, we have extra measures in place to protect your privacy when you bank online with Citywide Banks.

Visitors to Citywide Bank's public web site remain anonymous.  Citywide Banks does not collect identifying information about visitors to our site.  Citywide Banks uses software to collect non-identifying information about our visitors, such as:

  • Date and time the site was accessed;
  • Internet Provider Address (i.e. AOL, Qwest etc.);
  • Web browser used (i.e. Netscape, MS Internet Explorer); and
  • Pages in our web site that were visited.

Citywide Banks does NOT use "cookies" to obtain information about visitors.

E-Mail Correspondence

When you send us an email to comment on something or to ask a question, we may use your email address to reply to you.  It is important to remember that email is NOT secure and can be read by anyone on the Internet.  Therefore we recommend that you not send us confidential information such as your social security number or account numbers via unsecured email.

OnlineOption™ and Bill Pay Subscribers

When you connect to OnlineOption(tm) or Bill Pay through a personal computer, any information transmitted is encrypted for security while traveling over the Internet. This means that information is scrambled while traveling over the Internet. It is then unscrambled once it reaches the Citywide Banks' server. We have provided links to services, such as loan and mortgage calculators, as a convenience to you.  However, we are not responsible for the information collection practices of the non-Citywide Banks links you click to from our Web pages.  We cannot guarantee how these third parties use cookies or whether they place cookies on your computer that may personally identify you.  We urge you to review the privacy policies of each of the linked Web sites you visit - before you provide them with any personally identifiable information.

What Information We Collect

We may collect "nonpublic personal information" about you such as your income, net worth, social security number and address from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other loan and account forms;
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others;
  • Information we receive from third parties such as credit bureaus.

What Information We Disclose

We are permitted under law to share information about our experiences or transactions with you or your account (such as your account balance or your payment history with us) with companies related to us by common control or ownership ("affiliates").  We may also share additional information about you or your account (such as application information and credit reports from credit reporting agencies) with our affiliates.  You may direct us not to disclose to our affiliates information that does not relate soley to our or our affiliates' experiences or transactions with you or your account (such as application information and credit bureau information) by writing to us at Citywide Banks Operations Center, Attn: FCRA, P.O. Box 128, Aurora, CO  80040-0128 or calling us during normal business hours at 303/365-3650 or outside Colorado call 1-877-365-6111 and press 0 to be connected to a Customer Service Representative.

The law also allows us to disclose all the information we collect about you, as described above, to non-Citywide Banks companies that perform services on our behalf or with whom we have joint-marketing agreements.  You do not have the right to opt out of this disclosure.  For instance, if we want to tell you about a new product or service we offer, we may disclose your name and address to a company we use to prepare and mail the information to you.  Or we may disclose information to financial institutions (such as securities brokers or dealers or insurance companies) with whom we have joint marketing agreements in order to provide you with information or opportunities to obtain additional products or services.  These companies are required by written agreement to keep all information provided confidential and to restrict use of that information for only that single purpose.

Additionally, we may disclose information to non-affiliated third parties as allowed by law, for the normal operation of our business.  For example, sending information returns to the Internal Revenue Service, responding to subpoenas and providing information to consumer reporting agencies; i.e. credit bureaus. Information is shared among our Citywide Banks family in order to deliver products and services which you have requested and in order to communicate with you about products and services offered by our Citywide Banks family.  We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to any other third parties, except as permitted by law.

If you decide to close your account(s) or become an inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice.

Rest assured that we do NOT sell any non-public personal information you have shared with us.  We appreciate your loyalty and remain committed to maintaining your trust and confidence in Citywide Banks.

We also take steps to safeguard customer information. We restrict access to your personal information to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.  We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to protect customer information.
