Since starting CRL more than 27 years ago, Maria Garcia Berry has been the guiding force behind what is today one of the most influential public affairs firms in Colorado. For three consecutive years, Denver magazine 5280 named Ms. Garcia Berry one of Denver's "Ten Most Powerful People." After working for leadership in the state legislature beginning in 1973, Ms. Garcia Berry served as the governor's budget lobbyist. There she developed an in depth knowledge of state agencies and the policy making process. Highly respected for her skills in negotiation, mediation and advocacy, Ms. Garcia Berry is experienced at forging links between diverse interests and groups.
She is currently a member of the Urban Land Institute and serves on the Urban Development/Mixed Use Council. She is on the Aurora Economic Development Council Board of Directors, The Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce Foundation Board, the Board of Trustees of Metropolitan State College and the Auraria Higher Education Center Board.
Dennis Coughlin

Dennis Coughlin is President of Colorado's oldest, locally owned investment banking firm. In recent years, Coughlin & Company has provided $200 million in financing for housing developments that serve low to moderate income households, completed a quarter of a billion dollars in financing for nonprofit institutions, and developed Mercantile Square - a historic renovation in lower downtown Denver, which includes the Tattered Cover Bookstore and other retail, office and restaurant tenants.

A founding partner of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, Mr. Farber serves as President of the firm. His practice encompasses corporate and partnership business transactions, public and private business transactions, acquisitions and mergers, real estate, business, and contract transactions.
Mr. Farber is actively involved in many political, charitable and community causes. He serves as co-chairman for former Governor Bill Owens’s College for Colorado. He previously served as co-chair and a member of the executive committee of the Host Committee for the 2008 Democratic National Convention. From 1992 until 1996, he served as a commissioner of the Colorado Commission on Higher Education. Mr. Farber is also a fellow of the College of Law Practice Management and a fellow of the Colorado and American Bar Foundations.
In the past, Mr. Farber served on the Board of Directors of the Allied Jewish Federation, as well as the Board for the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Denver Metro’s Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
Kevin G. Quinn

Kevin Quinn joined Citywide Banks in April 2009 as President & CEO reporting directly to the Holding Company. He manages business development and the overall operation of Citywide Banks. The Division Presidents, Senior Branch Operations Officer and Cash Management all report directly to him.
Mr. Quinn has more than 25 years of banking experience. Prior to joining Citywide, he was President/COO of Arizona Business Bank in Phoenix, a sister bank of Colorado Business Bank (CoBiz) and a subsidiary of CoBiz Financial. Prior to that he was a Market President for CoBiz responsible for opening the DTC commercial banking facility in Denver.
A Denver native, Mr. Quinn is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in business administration/general business. He also received a graduate degree in banking from Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the University of Delaware.
Mr. Quinn is currently a member of The Denver Health Foundation board of directors. Prior to moving to Phoenix, he was recognized by then Denver Mayor Webb for his work with the Downtown Denver Residents Organization providing leadership in their strategic planning. In addition, Mr. Quinn was named one of the Denver Business Journal’s Forty under Forty, which recognizes professional excellence and community involvement for individuals under the age of 40.

Richard C. Saunders

Dick Saunders is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Saunders Construction. He started Saunders Construction in 1972. His company serves the construction needs of a broad spectrum of uses. Retail, industrial, education, municipal and recreation facilities are a few examples of the types of projects developed and built by Saunders’ company. For more than 30 years, Saunders Construction has literally helped build the metro area.
Mr. Saunders has served on the National Board of Directors for the Associated General Contractors of America. In 1982, he was appointed to the Board of Directors for Union Bank and Trust. He served on the bank’s Loan Committee and as a Director of Union Bank Shares Ltd. until its sale in 2002.
He currently sits on the Honorary Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association of Colorado, is Chairman of the Board of Colorado Uplift, and also serves as a Director for several other organization boards across the metro area.
Jeff Schmitz

Mr. Schmitz is the Executive Vice President of Citywide Banks of Colorado, Inc. Jeff has been employed at the bank since 1997 and has been a director of Citywide Banks of Colorado, Inc and Citywide Banks for over 14 years. His direct responsibilities include the oversight of deposit operations, IT, marketing, CRA, residential mortgage, and human resources.
Before Citywide he spent several years in the real estate sales and financing industries in the Denver Metro market. In 1994, Mr. Schmitz co-founded JamLOGIC Software, which designed human resources tools for small companies around the country and was sold to a strategic partner in 2000. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Gonzaga University.
Mr. Schmitz is a Board Member of Colorado Bankers Association, Colorado Uplift and Archdiocese of Northern Colorado. He is also the 2009 President of Legatus of Colorado. Mr. Schmitz was formerly an Advisory Board Member of Innovest Portfolio Solutions. Other past affiliations include serving on the boards of Machebeuf High School (past chair), PGA Foundation Board, Colorado Civil Justice League and the Accountability Committee for High Plains Elementary.
Mike Zoellner

Mike Zoellner is the founder of RedPeak Properties, a real estate company dealing exclusively in apartment properties. Prior to forming his own company, Mr. Zoellner spent nearly two decades in the management and development of 30 apartment projects comprising 7,500 units in Colorado. He was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Colorado Housing Task Force and appointed by the Mayor of Denver to serve on the Downtown Housing Task Force.
Mr. Zoellner currently serves on the boards of Regis Jesuit High School, and Stewart Title of Colorado.
